Up to now, we only have the scanning made by a veterinary cardiologist as a weapon to fight the spreading of HCM in cats and dogs. But the research has made a big step forward, thanks to Dr Meurs, and all the people who help by making donations.

Breeders who don't want to test their cats for HCM or refuse to take consider a donation show that:

1) they don't want to face the problem

2) they don't want to "waste" money

3) they don't care about their cats' health

So, pet buyers: DO ASK THE BREEDER you want to buy a pet kitten from to show you the NEGATIVE SCANNING FOR HCM MADE BY A CERTIFICATED QUALIFIED CARDIOLOGIST , NOT BY A NORMAL VETERINARY, of BOTH PARENTS OF THE KITTENS, and they must be at last THREE YEARS OLD.

This is the only guarantee that insures both breeder and purchaser.

HCM IS A SILENT KILLER: therefore, it MUST BE revealed.
