Getting to Basdorf
Road
Basdorf lies on the Bundesstraße B 109 running out of Berlin Northwards, a few kilometres North of the Berliner Ring (Bundesautobahn 10), and to the West of Bundesautobahn 11.
The village is not serviced by a regular bus service (except school-run buses), and isn't on the tram network. However, it is easily accessible by private vehicle and by train.

Rail
Basdorf has a train station on the line NE27, also known as the Heidekrautbahn. This connects at Karow with the S2 S-Bahn line in the direction Buch/Bernau.
A travel planner for all public transport around Berlin is provided in English on the BVG.de website.
A journey planner for rail travel from further afield is available in English on the DB.de website.
The latest travel news for the Heidekrautbahn is provided on the NEB.de website (in German).
Tickets can be purchased from ticket machines at the station or on the platform, from ticket offices and travel centres, and from some newsagents/tobacconists. Heidekrautbahn tickets can also be purchased from a ticket machine on the train.
Note that Basdorf is in zone C for train tariffs.
You can download a PDF map of the S- and U-Bahn networks, and the tram network, from this page on the BVG.de website.
Plane
Berlin is serviced by two airports, Schönefeld and Tegel, either of which can be used to get to Basdorf. Information about departures and arrivals, or for booking flights online, can be found on the berlin-airport.de website.
